With the shipping, these filters, which are just a tiny pouch of charcoal, are over $3 each. If your water is really bad, I guess you might prefer to pay this for a tablespoon of charcoal in a paper bag. With our water, there is no difference in taste.

It’s hard for me to believe that some of the stores that sell Cuisinart coffee makers don’t carry the charcoal filters. When I have found them they are ‘over the top’ expensive. I found this to be the best deal around. The shipping was fast and the price was right, and that made me happy.
